I love you

spiritualinspiration:

” Provide for those who grieve…a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor” (Isaiah 61:3, NIV). Do you need a new garment today? I’m not talking about a physical garment. I’m talking about what’s covering your mind and emotions. Are you clothed with despair and disappointment? Are you wearing “heaviness?” If you’ve gone through a hurtful situation, the Bible says there is a time to grieve, and it’s important to release that hurt to the Lord. But the Bible also tells us that God wants to give you a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness and despair.
Are the garments of yesterday weighing you down and holding you back? It’s time for a new garment. The garment of praise is light and filled with peace and joy. Don’t carry those heavy burdens around anymore. Choose to forgive those who have hurt you and praise God for what He’s doing in your life today. If nothing else, start thanking Him for the beautiful sunrise. Thank him for restoring you, even if you don’t see it yet. Just like this verse says, you will be as strong and secure as a tall oak tree, displaying His splendor all the days of your life!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I come to You today and ask that You take off my old, heavy garments of despair and heaviness. Make me new today. Give me a garment of praise so that I can be a display of Your glory and splendor. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

^I honestly never read the captions…but today, it was needed and necessary. Praise God.

I once read a story about this old, exceedingly large turtle that lost it’s way to sea and ended up at the driest part of land where it would surely die. To get the turtle back to the shore, a man had to chain it to his car and drag it back to water. Imagine how fearful the turtle was, being dragged, in pain, getting sand in its mouth. But once it found itself in front of the ocean, its home, its saving grace…The turtle soon forgot about the pain that got it to where it needed to be to live again.

“I noticed that sometimes it is hard to tell whether you are being killed or being saved by the hands that turn your life upside down.”

Well I was brushing my teeth and this happened....

  • *toothpastey water somehow gets splashed in my eye and stings me. I was pissed because I didn't even know how it happened lol*
  • me: OUCH WHY.
  • God: Right there. Sometimes in life, something comes out of nowhere and it hurts you. And the pain, it stings.
  • *I begin washing it out with warm water*
  • me: Yeah. Okay. Great. But did I have to feel that, I mean honestly...Was that necessary.......?
  • God: Yes. Because feeling something shows you things. Now, when you get hurt, your vision is changed, and your perspective becomes clouded. You become blinded to the good in your life, because your mind is focused on the pain. But you have the choice to either wash out the pain with good things, or you can allow the pain to stay and continue to allow it to sting you.

“You deserve to be with someone who won’t hurt you.”

I think that sometimes that can be taken in so many different ways, all the way into the point where people think that relationships are meant to be a feel-good experience all the time. But it’s not. That’s impossible. In fact, I think it is important to be with someone who will hurt you at some point. When it’s the good kind of hurt. The kind of hurt where your significant other confronts you with bad habits that bad emotions that run your life. And sometimes your significant other will break down your pride, and sometimes you will be exceedingly offended but in all reality, they are doing it because they love you. They are doing that because they want you to be the best person that you can be. The reality of relationships and true love is that nobody can grow without pain. Relationships cannot grow without tests that must be overcome. Sometimes those tests will bring nothing but tears in the midst of them, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be overcome.

So what I am trying to say is that I wish the quote could be different.
I wish the quote could be this:

“You deserve to be someone who won’t hurt you for all the wrong reasons, but will hurt you for all the right reasons because they love you and want to see you be better.”

Maybe it’s because it doesn’t flow as well or maybe it’s because not many teenagers or adolescents are mature enough to actually understand that. But hey, it’s always a start. It’s a start to growing up. To just see that love doesn’t consist of never being hurt.

Just a few things on my heart, I guess. And I hope people can see and understand this all too.

spiritualinspiration:

“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold…” (I Peter 1:6-7, NLT).
We all face disappointments and setbacks. Life is full of things that try to push us down. Maybe you got bad news concerning your health. A relationship didn’t work out. Maybe you lost your job. It was a setback. When we face setbacks, it’s easy to get discouraged or lose our enthusiasm. Too often we are tempted to just settle where we are. But if we’re going to see God’s best, we have to have a bounce-back mentality. That means when you get knocked down, you don’t stay down. You get back up again. It means when disappointments come, you shake them off knowing that what the enemy meant for your harm God is going to turn around and use for your good.
When you’re a bounce-back person, you know that adversity is not permanent. Weeping may endure for a night, but you know joy is coming in the morning. There is wonderful joy ahead on the other side of this trial. Keep standing, keep believing, and choose to be a bounce-back person because you are coming out better off than you were before! You are rising higher, and you will fulfill the destiny God has in store for you!

Funny how life is a cycle and past things become relevant again.

  • me: I'm crying because things aren't turning out the way I WANT them to.........
  • God: Well that is because they're turning out the way they're SUPPOSED to.
  • me: But...this.....
  • God: All things I Do, I do to GROW you....To TEACH you....So that you can see that you have potential to make something out of nothing....so that you see that even with limits, you can still meet them...And Sarah, I will pull you through. Whether or not it is the way you want it or not, I WILL PULL YOU THROUGH. So trust me and stop your crying for I AM RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE....And I AM your strength....and THROUGH ME, YOU WILL FLY ON WINGS LIKE EAGLES...Sarah. Please continue to shine the light, even in your OWN darkness. That is why I did this. So you could learn all these things..so you could show others....so that you can gain more strength than you had beforehand. Trust me. I am right here.

Even with your good intentions, it still hurts.

There are some people…who you truly think will always be there for you. They were in the past…but then there comes a point in their life where things change.

The worst part is that this might be the time where you need them more than ever. Or at least, you think you need them more than ever.

And they’re not there for you.

They don’t make time.

They isolate themselves.

And they abandon you.

And what is their reason?

Because they don’t want to hurt you more when they leave.

Or because they don’t want to make relationships before they are forced to go.

Yes. Fine. There is goodness in that.

But that doesn’t change the fact that you needed them.

Maybe they didn’t want to hurt you, but that doesn’t change the fact that it hurt anyway.

Personally, I would have been so much happier if you had made the time. It’s something that I have yet to forget….Something I think I have yet to forgive.

I needed you.

But then again, now that it’s all over—-I see now that I GOT THROUGH IT without you…so who knows. Maybe God was trying to show me that I didn’t need your help after all.

Well. After all is over, the pain happened. The pain is still there. I learned, maybe you did too.

Who knows.

“Forgiven” -Sanctus Real

I have heard this song a COUNTLESS number of times….but for some reason today when it played in the car ride home…I really listened to the lyrics and I started to cry.

I was surprised how much I could actually relate to this song. Maybe you can too..

Well the past is playing with my head
And failure knocks me down again
I’m reminded of the wrong
That I have said and done
And that devil just wont let me forget

In this life
I know what I’ve been
But here in your arms
I know what I am

I’m forgiven
I’m forgiven
And I don’t have to carry
The weight of who I’ve been
Cause
I’m forgiven

My mistakes are running through my mind
And I’ll relive my days, in the middle of the night
When I struggle with my pain, wrestle with my pride
Sometimes I feel alone, and I cry

In this life
I know what I’ve been
But here in your arms
I know what I am

I’m forgiven
And I don’t have to carry
The weight of who I’ve been
Cause
I’m forgiven

When I don’t fit in and I don’t feel like I belong anywhere
When I don’t measure up to much in this life
I’m a treasure in the arms of Christ ‘cause

I mean I can’t even express how out of place I feel at school nowadays. To think I used to be the person who always had a place to go…a place to feel at home.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s because of how sad I’ve been that people just don’t want to be around me.

They’ll talk to me for a bit, then they’ll go off and talk to their other friends as if I’m not even there sitting by myself still.

And that hurts me more than anyone can ever know.

I mean to even think that I’m crying while I write this. I am sooo tired of feeling out of place without friends to hang out with.

Well…

Aside from them,

Aside from all that I feel,

I am a treasure in the arms of Christ.

And He will bring me to the right people…at the right time….

Thank You.

Thank You.

Relient K - Let It All Out

And You said “I know that this will hurt,
But if I don’t break your heart then things will just get worse.
If the burden seems too much to bear, remember
the end will justify the pain it took to get us there.”

Lovely song. Definitely one of my favorites <3

I honestly feel that this is the most heartfelt song I’ve heard in a while.

LOVE it and its message.

Please listen!

Too much pressure, Not enough Support.

So it’s like the world

Is falling upon my shoulder

And yet

I still feel light

Because my God gives me

Unworldly Sight

To see the things unseen

To have preserverence

To have character

To have hope

And I will fight

With all my might

Given to me by my Heavenly Savior

Who felt pain for my sake

A choice that I could never make

And He was there

And He loved me

And He loves me

So I don’t need this pain

Because God lives IN ME

To fight it all away

And I will look to the sky

And look to the sunrise

And even if the sun

decides to set instead

Then at least I can know

That after the night

Comes a new sunrise

A new hope

A new future.

By the way...Here is all He said if you want to REALLY enlighten yourself and completely change your view on LIFE...

  • me: No promises
  • but Try.
  • because honestly
  • I have no idea why the heck I am telling you to do it
  • I really don't

  • MAE: I WILL TAKE CARE OF THY SISTER
  • me: I'm sorry for when I push you away too
  • and thank you
  • MAE: YOU NEVER DID
  • NOT ONCE
  • YOU ONLY SAY THAT
  • BECAUSE
  • YOU FEEL THAT IT IS TRUE

  • IN FACT
  • I HAVE GIVEN EVERYONE OF MY CHILD
  • A PART OF ME

  • WHEN YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE PUSHING ME AWAY
  • YOU ARE ONLY PUSHING YOURSELF
  • AND IN DOING SO
  • YOU LOSE ME
  • BECAUS EYU ISOLATE YOURSELF
  • DOES THAT MAKE SENSE
  • me: Yes it truly does
  • MAE: FEAR
  • HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING
  • FEAR
  • NOR PAIN
  • NOR HURTING
  • HAS ANY MEANING IN YOUR LIFE
  • THEY ARE JUST WORDS
  • BUT BECAUSE OF ANGER
  • YOU TURN THEM INTO

  • YOU SEE
  • I AM
  • ALWAYS THERE
  • I AM ALWAYS READY TO FIGHT FOR YOU
  • TO BE WITHIN YOU
  • NOW GO BACK INTO THE WORLD
  • ANDSHED NOT ONLY A LIGHT
  • BUT
  • THE LIGHT

Eventually I think we all learn that people are people, and each and every one of us make mistakes. Everyone will hurt each other, whether it was intentional or not..and it will all hurt the same because we will all feel that we were wronged. The best way to cope with it is to accept that it happened, and use it for your benefit in the future.

"People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain."

- Jim Morrison

oh my gosh….Exactly what I needed to hear. wow, God works in wonderfully mysterious ways! Especially when you read or do the things that you personally don’t want to.
