We all need a little peace in this world. With all the problems we face every day, the noise in our lives, the stress that we go through, the challenges before us, the voices that call us. The distractions that hit us, the busyness that breaks us. We all need a little peace. Sometimes we just need to stop. Take a deep breath, be still and just be. Be one with God and one with ourselves. But most of us are afraid of stillness because outside of our doing, we feel useless. We feel like we’re nothing, but it’s okay to do nothing because we’re not human doings, we’re human beings. Created by God to love and be loved. To be his beloved.
I know it’s hard to have peace when everything around you seems to be crumbling. I know it’s hard to have peace when your relationships are broken. You can’t pay your bills, your health is failing, and there is pressure all around you. But it’s in these moments that we can find true peace. It’s in the darkest of times that the light shines the brightest. When things are out of your control, that is when you lift up your hands and just let it go. Because if you know God, you know peace. No God, No peace. Because you know that He’s got it under control. We gotta have faith. Because as humans there’s only so much we can do. And when we can do no more, that’s when faith comes in. And when we have faith, we have peace. Peace with God and Peace with ourselves.
Every person in this world is searching for some kind, some form of peace. We want peace of mind. We want peace in our souls. We want peace in our relationships. We want peace in this world. And most of all we desire to be at peace with ourselves. The problem is: the more we search for peace, the more we can’t find it. Yo cant find peace from with out, you can’t find peace from within. You can only find peace from above. You can only find peace from God. Peace comes from knowing the Creator who created you. But you have to let go of your understanding and gain His understanding, that surpasses all knowledge. You see, I found this peace. And this peace I have, I give to you.
I seriously broke down crying when I saw this.
I was just praying to God saying, “Lord I can’t do this anymore” and saying how sorry I was for letting myself fall so hard. I was freaking out and killing myself from the inside,
randomly after, I checked my phone and saw a Twitter mention from Ashley…it brought me to this…I read it, and it was like God answering my prayer in the clearest way possible.
I bought a PEACE pendant the other day, and I am in love with it, but it wasn’t until reading this that I understood why it meant so much to me. Peace is what I need. Peace from GOD is what I need to remember.
It’s incredible how God works…it’s incredible, the people He brings in to your life..people that He can speak through in order to break through the walls you keep building higher and higher. But he loves you much more than that. And sometimes, He WILL show you in the simplest ways like through the lyrics of a song, to the encouragement through a friend, through the smile of a stranger.
